About the job

  • The Credit Analyst’s mission is to produce high-quality Credit Proposals in a timely and efficient manner, in order to enable BNP Paribas Corporate Coverage to do new business with clients (i.e. gain credit committee approval for new business), manage exposure to credit risk and meet its regulatory requirements (Annual Reviews)

Your Main Activities Are

  • Assessment of Counterparty and Credit Risk: collecting and monitoring key information on clients (annual reports, financial statements, web site information) and requesting/analyzing internal inputs (e.g. business line memos); liaising with Relationship Managers to gain in-depth knowledge of client environment, strategy, management, resources and financials; and analyzing and summarizing counterparty and credit risk on clients and prospects
  • Preparation of Credit Proposals: completing Credit Proposals compliant with guidelines, quality standards and policies; and participating in the continuous improvement of credit process efficiency
  • Credit Risk Monitoring: ensuring the follow-up of client exposure and monitoring global credit risks by alerting on any change in ratings, any major event or material evolution; monitoring of clients covenants, strategy implementation and risk profile; and maintaining portfolio reports and using proactively the internal credit tools
  • Within ECA, Credit Analysts encompass 3 levels: Credit Analyst 1 (CRF Spreads completed autonomously without errors. Simple Contributor Credit Proposals done with support); Credit Analyst 2 (complete simple Contributor Credit Proposals autonomously and start working on complex Contributor Credit Proposals with support); and Credit Analyst 3 (complete complex Contributor Credit Proposals autonomously and start working on Pilot Credit Proposals with support, as well as support new joiner training)

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting or related     
  • Up to 2 years of experience in Financial Analysis and Advisory
  • Advanced level of English, both written and oral
  • Knowledge in MS Office Pack (Excel)
  • Attention to detail / rigor
  • Ability to collaborate / teamwork
  • Ability to synthetise / simplify
  • Analytical ability
  • Communication skills, both written and oral
