About the job

  • As an essential component of Finance function, Standards & Controls department’s mission is to monitor the evolution of accounting, performance management, prudential and reporting standards, ensure regulatory monitoring and represent the Finance & Strategy Function within the Group’s valuation framework
  • It is divided into 3 major branches, of which Standards Implementation Office, which hosts Accounting Standards Project Implementation team, composed of 8 members (6 internal members + 2 external). ASPI missions are as follows:
    • Communicate the new standards and regulatory changes to the impacted teams (F&S, RISK, ALMT, IT and BLs)
    • Implement the project governance to designate relevant contributors transversally and to define the action plans, in process and systems dimension
    • Contribute to the definition of the solutions to meet the regulatory planning, notably in coordination with Finance Solutions Office teams and FRESH
    • Monitor the deployment of these solutions in all business lines and territorie
    • Issue regular communications on project status within and beyond Finance teams
  • Coordinate closely the F&S actions, to source adequately the regulatory data and accounting schemes in close collaboration with FSO-FIP teams; contribute to quantitative impact studies led by Group Financial Policies or RISK teams
  • The candidate will have the opportunity to widen its skillset thanks to the diversity of interactions with stakeholders from different functions and businesses
  • The position also provides the chance to enhance the reporting skills thanks to working on the latest regulatory and normative evolutions
  • The candidate will accompany the evolution of the accounting and reporting systems of the Group, mainly OFS and SRS, which will be implemented across entities of the Group in the next years
  • The convergence of RISK and Finance reporting’s will allow the candidate to immerse in RISK subjects and specific culture

Your Main Activities Are

  • As a Standards & Controls – Accounting Standards Project Implementation Project Manager, you will oversee financial and regulatory projects
  • The team’s main mission is to coordinate the operational implementation of normative accounting and regulatory evolutions (IFRS and French GAAP) and new reportings (VDS, CRE ACPR, Financial Conglomerates…) required by the different regulators (SRB, ACPR, ECB…)
  • The position requires strong communication skills and frequent interaction with the different stakeholders. Main contributors to our projects are Finance and Reporting central and local teams, accounting systems teams (OFS mainly), RISK projects and reporting teams and teams in charge of the central reporting solution (Shared Reporting Space – SRS)
  • The candidate will have to prepare, organize and coordinate workshops and steering committees for the projects under his/her scope
  • Projects will concern mainly the following entities scope: BNPP SA, PF FR, BNPP Fortis, BNL and CIB
  • In a nutshell, communication and support to the stakeholders are the key skills required for this position

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Academic degree in Accounting or related fields
  • Knowledge of IFRS rules and European Banking regulations 
  • Fluent in English, oral and written
  • Good communication skills

  • The Finance & Strategy function (F&S) ensures, for the BNP Paribas Group, the production and publication of accounting and financial management statements necessary for the management of the Group, financial and tax optimization along with the external growth strategy. It also plays an alert role vis-à-vis of the General Management
  • F&S count +1800 employees specialized in Accounting, Reporting, Performance Steering, Tax, Control, Regulatory and Project to mention few of them.  F&S is organized around 3 mutualized regional platform (America, Europe and Asia/Pacific), 1 Shared Finance Service center located in India, Central F&S teams located in Paris and decentralized Finance, Tax and Development departments located in each BNPP country presence
