About the job

  • The MFS Client Delivery Analyst is responsible to process the Net Present Value of the portfolio of OTC and repo trades between clients of BNP Paribas and their counterparties to ensure that the clients’ exposure to their counterparties is sufficiently collateralised. The process requires the performance of data integrity checks on trade data received in the collateral management platform and the comparison of exposures with the value of the assets pledged, in accordance with the parameters specified in the legal agreements, which are done by the Analyst

Your Main Activities Are

  • Make and receive margin calls in a timely manner, book margin calls in the collateral management system
  • Deal with counterparties’ and custodian queries
  • Perform collateral movements and interest payments on collateral balances (Prepare instructions on cash and securities to be received / delivered; Investigate settlement fails with back-offices and escalate to supervisor / manager; Arrange substitutions – prepare collateral movements instructions; Calculate / validate interest on cash balances calculations; Prepare instructions to receive / pay interest)
  • Reconcile securities balances and movements between the collateral management system and the custodians; Reconcile cash balances and movements between the collateral management system and the accounting book entries when BNP Paribas performs fund accounting functions; Reconcile interest in the collateral management systems
  • Report on margin call disputes (Write up succinct comments to explain margin call disputes based on reconciliations performed by the portfolio reconciliation team); Ensure that all disputes are explained and investigated
  • Document and update procedures that are common to all clients; and document bespoke procedures to support one-off processes agreed with the client, as part of the on-boarding
  • Propose system enhancement for better risk monitoring and/or work efficiency and participate in testing collateral management system new releases (UATs)

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting 
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in Banking and Financial Operations 
  • Fluent (C1-C2) level of English 
  • Adaptability
  • Attention to detail / rigor 
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to collaborate / teamwork
  • Client focused 
  • Analytical ability, namely in Excel, PowerBI and Power Query
