About the job
- The Counterparty Risk Monitoring Officer monitors counterparty risk exposures on BNPP’s CIB clients, to ensure such risks stays within BNPP’s own risk appetite. It includes the monitoring of the positions and the analysis and reporting of exposures in excess of their limits, supporting the simulation of the impact of new trades on the counterparty risk exposure, the management of specific mis-representation of the exposure of the portfolio of clients. It involves a constant discussion with all counterparty risk management stakeholders.
Your Main Activities Are
- Monitor counterparty risk exposure of Financial Institutions and Corporates.
- Analyse the trigger of counterparty risk exposure limit excesses and share the root cause to the credit analysts, credit officers and the relevant business lines.
- When relevant, highlight transactions that breached the bank’s counterparty risk appetite and prepare the relevant warning to the front office.
- Support some pre-trade simulation alongside Front Office on exotic transactions.
- For identified transactions, perform overrides of the counterparty risk pricer using the appropriate override pre-defined methodology.
- Participate to the roll-out of counterparty risk management monitoring frameworks improvements.

Your Main Activities Are
- Create and maintain Sales/ Trading mandates and portfolios, ensuring accurate records

- The Technical Leader mission is to contribute to the technical support of applications based on the TIBCO EBX software and to ensure technological excellence maintaining a Master Data Management platform in operational condition on which a large number of business functions are based. - The BDO Static Data Analyst’s mission is to be responsible for the setup and maintenance of client database and ISIN database, in order to allow the integration of order received by the client. It is also a 1st level control for the trades monitoring and correcting any trade with errors
Your Main Activities Are
- Ensure Integration and maintenance of clients’ database (either manually or through support to the upload function)

- Operations team is in charge of functional support on market and counterparty risk systems of the bank. The team in Portugal is focusing in particular on the quality aspects of the data that feeds those systems: ensuring data quality issues are resolved, putting in place meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) about data quality, reviewing and improving existing processes and KPIs, and assisting on the preparation of material for committees where those KPIs are discussed.
