Your Main Activities Are

• Functional monitoring and control of the chains, from Booking system to Regulatory layer and to Market authorities. Mostly automated, purpose is to be proactive and detect / solve in advance any discrepancy found before causing a loss for the bank. Also to design and implement new controls and more automation within the chain in order to mitigate risk.
• Analyse failures: Regulatory chain is complex and failures happened at all stages. Purpose is to analyse root cause, propose workaround and manage interim until fix is deployed on Production
• Answer client inquiries: Requests come from various clients having each their own expectations, hence requesting the Support analyst to be flexible enough to maintain the requested service level
• Participate in change management: Support Analyst has to assess impact, communicate and follow up releases across the supported applications
• Design and run various reports for stakeholders, based on multi sources, with different needs, purpose is to provide consolidated view to stakeholders in order to give visibility on Regulatory chains to top management

About the job

• The Quantitative Data Intelligence (QDI) team is responsible for providing data, insights, and analysis to Global Markets front office.
• The team aims to build a solid database from various sources and develop analysis, reports and dashboards to provide valuable insight to the Front Office in a rapid, agile manner.
• Our team is responsible for multiple steps regarding data processing: Data Feeds industrialization, ETL, Data Warehousing and Data Visualization. We are in direct contact with business sponsors, sales, and traders.

Your Main Activities Are

• To be part of an international and diverse team who helps Global Markets Front Office to get to know their clients better and identify opportunities and trends throught what data can tell. 
• As a Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in our team. Working directly with one or more of the bank’s business areas, you will provide valuable insights to drive business growth, understading their needs, proposing and implementing data-driven solutions (analysis, visualization and automation). You will exercise a lot of problem identification and problem solving skills.
• You will have the opportunity to take ownership of business essential analytical projects that involve retrieving, preparing and analysing complex datasets using data/statistical models and best practices in data visualization for the reporting creation, with the goal to produce insights and automated tools that will guide strategic solutions.
• You will move between technical and non-technical areas and should be able to communicate well with different types of professionals. It is very important to be able to clearly and concisely understand stekeholders’ needs and translate these to our technical team, as well as present the results of complex analysis to our stakeholders.

Profile and Skills to Success

• Academic background in Engineering, Economics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields
• Availability to work in the hybrid model or in person in the Lisbon or Porto office
• Professional experience in any data visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI
• Professional experience in data analysis with programming, preferably Python (Pandas)
• Proficiency in SQL
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Ability to analysze, synthetize and simplify.
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing is a plus.

Your Main Activities Are

• As an intern, you will assist the entire Marketing team on a daily basis in accomplishing their missions:
  • Actively contribute to the writing of commercial and educational presentations to promote our structured products and investment solutions, working jointly with the Sales and Financial Engineering teams
  • Update marketing documents and contribute to the industrialization project of marketing processes
  • Run competitive analysis and study the market to add strategic value to marketing projects

Profile and Skills to Success

• MSc in Finance, Economics or Business Management.
• Good understanding of financial markets
• Ability to multi-task and to respect multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Fluency in English
• Good communication skills and sales mind-set
• Proactivity, creativity and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office pack (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Basic knowledge of VBA or any other programming language
• Strong work ethic is essential

About the Team

• You will join the Marketing expert teams of BNP Paribas Global Markets. The Marketing team in Lisbon is composed of about 10 team members dedicated to Marketing activities promoted by the Marketing desks located in Paris, London, Milan and New York. Constantly interacting with Sales and Financial Engineering teams, in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment, our team members have an in-depth understanding of structured products, investment strategies, and commercial challenges, as well as strong marketing skills, enabling them to be integral parts of the product development and sales process
