    • BNP PARIBAS Group Finance, RISK, and ALM Treasury, have set-up a shared team in charge of the Group stress testing, the financial planning and the financial synthesis.
    • The team named STFS, for Stress Testing and Financial Simulations, has for objective to coordinate the strengthening of BNP Paribas’ Stress-Testing (S/T) and planning capabilities so as to better serve Business Lines, Legal Entities and Group needs and meet supervisory requirement on these matters, and in a cost-efficient manner
    • To that effect, STFS aims at building a flexible, industrialized, central utility accessible by BNP Paribas’ Business Lines and Entities (B/E) for their local needs and their contribution to Group exercises. STFS offers an integrated S/T service to B/Es to support them in capitalizing on the shared framework for their local needs

Your Main Activities Are

    • Carrying out stress test exercise for internal and Regulatory purposes: stress test exercises rely on macroeconomic parameter forecasts. These parameters have impacts on forecasted default rates and credit risk cycle. You will be in charge of calculating and computing these parameters and then feeding the stress test engine
    • Analyzing and producing automatic reporting for quarterly stress test exercise and provide stress test results for local regulators
    • Carrying out IFRS9 quarterly exercise: updating IFRS9 parameters according to macroeconomic scenario, ensuring consistency between stress test and IFRS9’s models, sensitivity analysis, rationalization effect measurement 
    • Data science: treatment of large dataset in a big data environment, using Python/R code. Data analysis and treatment on both input parameters (including loan and client level portfolio data) and on model generated data

  • The Profit and Loss (P&L) Controller will be in charge of producing and validating the daily and/or monthly Economical P&L and related P&L Explains. It will be required to establish effective working relationships with both Front Office and other areas of support (e.g. Back Office, Market Risk, Finance & IT). About the job

  • The Profit and Loss (P&L) Controller will be in charge of producing and validating the daily and/or monthly Economical P&L and related P&L Explains. It will be required to establish effective working relationships with both Front Office and other areas of support (e.g. Back Office, Market Risk, Finance & IT). This will allow for an integrated and proactive approach to the business’ requirements. P&L teams, as part of the Product Control department, provides a full and dedicated support to the various ALM/T and Global Market Trading Desks located in Europe, New York, Singapore or Hong-Kong
     
     

Your Main Activities Are

  • Produce and validate the official Economical P&L figures and the related P&L explains (market move, new deals, etc.) and investigate the discrepancies with the Front Office Predict when available
  • Review the P&L Explain in depth and correct wrong effect if no technical solution can be found to overturn the misallocation
  • Review the Risk based market P&L and analyse differences against the P&L Explain until the gap is understood and documented
  • Review the split of the economic PNL in liquidity and rate effects for ALMT perimeters
  • Produce Hedge accounting controls for finance and FO where applicable
  • Submit the P&L for Sign-off to the Front office officer
  • When possible, challenge and enhance existing processes

  • The EXO (Exotic products) Analyst is responsible of the first level of Exotic Trading Control, being highly driven to mitigate operational risk and requiring a high level of financial awareness. The officer is pricing complex structured products on a daily basis (>70% of their day to day).
