About the job
- The EXO (Exotic products) Analyst is responsible of the first level of Exotic Trading Control, being highly driven to mitigate operational risk and requiring a high level of financial awareness. The officer is pricing complex structured products on a daily basis (>70% of their day to day). This requires a significant amount of understanding of Financial Assets (Bonds, Stocks, Indexes, Options, Swaps) and how they interact together once included in the same product. It is necessary to have the sensitivity of the valuation of the different products (what they are worth) and how they might be impacted when certain market variables are modified given amendments are done directly in the Trading’s books. They focus on the Primary Market and there is a clear need for Financial and Mathematical skills
Your Main Activities Are
- Calculate, analyse and price the associated exotic products and confirm they are in line with the respective documentation and booking
- Control and manage all Primary Transactions and ensure each position and trade are correct so that the amount hedged by Front Office is correct
- Increase/unwind existing positions and guarantee all information is clear and transparent
- Smoothen the process of flowing information throughout the remaining teams within the bank
- Daily control of payoff changes and closely follow updates on existing trades

In practice, your day-to-day
- As a Data Scientist in the Scoring Center team, you will undertake projects to build risk prediction models. Your main responsibilities will be:
- As part of your modelling projects, you assess the needs expressed, define and propose the adapted deliverables and estimate their burden and time frame through an implementation plan that takes into account the challenges and constraints. You use statistical modelling methods (such as Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting…), analyze and explain the results
- You lead the project, keep track of the schedule and support the implementation and monitoring of the tools issued
- As part of the monitoring and optimization of the BNP Paribas Personal Finance score models, you participate in the monitoring campaigns of the scores: generation and analysis of monitoring results, diagnosis and action plan

Your Main Activities Are

Under the responsibility of the local Financial Controller Team Leader based in Lisbon Office, the Financial Controller Senior Officer will perform the following activities

Actual monthly closing and Budget processes
- Contribute for the production of the management control reporting

- The Operations Financial Monitoring Officer has a specific focus on Performance Management for Operations, producing financial analysis to help the different Operations cluster managers taking the best decisions based on timely and accurate reports. This requires the coordination of international stakeholders, a clear understanding of the budget process and a transversal view on the Operations organisation and strategy

The Continuous Improvement Team Manager leads a team of CI project managers and CI trainers/coaches to take Continuous Improvement concepts, tools and culture across the organization, always seeking efficiency opportunities within its scope of activities.
Your Main Activities Are
The Continuous Improvement Team Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Support the local Operations Senior Managers to derive from the global ops roadmap / priorities the local ones to reach local Ops targets

Your Main Activities Are

Your Main Activities Are
- Ensure daily Tax watch of external local and international Tax policies, Tax legislation, jurisprudence and tax authorities’ doctrine
- Contribution to Tax opinions requested in Portugal (other departments, other Group entities) and abroad (Group Tax Department or others)
- Review initiatives/projects which may require deep Transfer Pricing analysis, assist/review of local Transfer Pricing files for the Group entities in Portugal on a yearly basis (based on Group templates), and liaise with Group Tax Department (and other relevant departments) for purposes of discussing Transfer Pricing and any other topics
- Review of main tax returns (annual Corporate Income Tax – Modelo 22 – and VAT monthly statements) and contribution to the calculation of the VAT pro-rata in year-end
- Contribution to supervision of tax aspects related to intragroup transactions (standards for current transactions, validation of new products and activities, specific transactions)
- Handling relationships with tax authorities/accompanying tax inspections
- Other tasks inherent to a Tax Expert position, including involvement in projects which may be launched based on evolution of tax legislation in Portugal and for which we need to adapt the Group’s systems
- Contribute to monitor uncertain Tax positions and Group’s Tax burden in Portugal
- Contribute to the elaboration of local Tax procedures, whenever necessary, and abide by the internal Group policies, naturally including the procedures issued by the Group Tax Department, as well as gathering evidence on a frequent basis for control purposes
Profile and Skills to Success
- 5 years’ experience in a Tax firm or in the Tax department of a Multinational enterprise

About the Team
The Tax Department has the mission to cover all aspects related to tax which may have an impact on any of the BNP Paribas Group entities present in Portugal (which are associated to banking and insurance sectors, vehicles’ renting activity, real estate, among others), working in respect of the internal and external Tax policies, integrated in the local set-up of the Group, as well as integrated within the Group Tax Department. Naturally, the local tax team works in compliance with the Portuguese legislation, as well as with international tax law, providing support for management decisions. Besides the local business of the branch, we provide a dedicated support to all the Group entities present in Portugal.
The Tax Department is in charge of all Portuguese taxes (except for those associated to employees) therefore a transversal profile is requested.
