The Legal Counsel main task is to provide legal advice to the CIB (Corporate & Institutional Banking) business ensuring the strictest compliance with legal laws at all time. The Legal Counsel could be asked to react to legal queries from outside Portugal
Your Main Activities
* Provide legal support to CIB business in particular with regards to bilateral and syndicated loan documentation, security and ad-hoc documentation
* Review, negotiate and draft banking law related documents, loan contracts and security documentation, templates, cash management documents and other legal documents as required by the commercial or operational departments
* Elaborate banking contracts and related collaterals
* Drafting and revising of documents concerning Corporate Governance and delegations
* Rendering effective legal assistance in the preparation of legal opinions, studies and reports as required from time to time. Guidance and advice on daily business requests/queries
* Representing the Bank towards the Courts, if necessary
* Revision of provisions and general terms and conditions applicable to accounts, transactions and payment instruments.
* Management of contractual documentation to set up arrangements with suppliers and providers, including intra-group SLA’s
* Supporting Legal Head on specific projects
* Follow up the litigation files
* Advice on proposed and applicable banking laws and regulations in a perspective of Regulatory Watch
Profile and Skills to Success
* Bachelor’s Degree in Law
* Advanced level of english fluency, both oral and written
* At least 5 years years of law/labor law experience
* Experience using Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Powerpoint

- Since 2015, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has a competences center in Lisbon, the Portugal International Markets Hub (“PIMH”). This center manages certain activities for the International Markets (“IM”) sites of BNPPWM namely Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and Monaco

Your Main Activities Are
- Analyze and manage corporate actions events received from the market in the system or via email and process the respective payments in client’s account
- Manage corporate actions letters for clients

- Follow up and resolution of the pending cash and securities items with the reconciliations teams

- Acknowledge and follow up all requests from clients, either for relief at source or reclaim purpose, create and prepare fiscal documentation whenever enhanced offer is in place for such clients and perform the necessary validations on the system and if applicable, communicate it to our custodian network. · Conoscenze in ambito automobilistico;
· Esperienza minima di due anni in un call center, preferibilmente nel settore automobilistico e assicurativo (preferibile);
· Capacità di analizzare e contestare i preventivi dei lavori di riparazione e manutenzione (costi, tempistiche, etc…);
· Capacità di fornire spiegazioni chiare sulla decisione di reclamo al riparatore e al cliente;

- The IT Data Protection Trainee’s mission is to support on key transversal data privacy and protection projects and support on coordination of activities of the Data Protection activity at Group level under the supervision of the GDPO Advisory TL, support and contribute for oversighting the Group BNP Paribas activities alignment with the Data Protection and Privacy (DPP) BNP Paribas framework across the world
Your Main Activities Are
- Integrated in the Group Data Protection Risk Advisory team, we are seeking for this position technical profiles who will be focused on learning from a Worldwide team of specialists in privacy and cybersecurity. Directly reporting to the team manager, the main responsibilities of the role are
- Supporting the team in performing independent verifications of the IT, cyber security and other techincal controls implemented, and issue recommendations with regards to privacy, IT processes, data management & security and compliance with the Group BNP Paribas Data Protection and Privacy framework and regulation (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PDPA, among others)

- The GCS Settlement Account Manager works within the Securities Transaction Management Department and is responsible for the processing and follow up of the main processes which include pre & post settlement activities, clearing, relevant legal documentation, transaction and event-related accounting for securities deemed in scope. In the scope of these activities, the Officer interacts with several internal departments, external counter parties and entities
Your Main Activities Are
- Rigorous management of the client transactions by monitoring pending/failed instructions, detecting errors/discrepancies and providing accurate information to clients either via email or phone in accordance to agreements in place
- Develop a deep knowledge of the clients specificities, market requirements, internal processes and tools
- Ensure client specificities databases and internal procedures are known and updated

In practice, your day-to-day
- As a Senior Data Scientist in the Scoring Center team, you will undertake projects to build risk prediction models. Your main responsibilities will be:
- As part of your modelling projects, you assess the needs expressed, define and propose the adapted deliverables and estimate their burden and time frame through an implementation plan that takes into account the challenges and constraints. You use statistical modelling methods (such as Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting…), analyze and explain the results;
- You lead the project, keep track of the schedule and support the implementation and monitoring of the tools issued;
- As part of the monitoring and optimization of the BNP Paribas Personal Finance score models, you participate in the monitoring campaigns of the scores: generation and analysis of monitoring results, diagnosis and action plan;
- You are also responsible for conducting or analyzing statistical studies related to risk prediction models. If necessary, you take part in analytical support missions to the Group’s international entities and in the processing of audit recommendations relating to the Basel regulatory project;
- In addition, you actively contribute to the transversal missions of the Scoring Center: technological and methodological watch, regulatory watch, training, analytical support for the Group’s international entities.

- The Finance & Strategy function (F&S) ensures, for the BNP Paribas Group, the production and publication of accounting and financial management statements necessary for the management of the Group, financial and tax optimization along with the external growth strategy. Your Main Activities Are
- Sit with FIP staff and your colleagues from FIP Standards team and go through all the steps of the current process to get familiarized with the As-Is situation
- Identity automation opportunities and draft the overall high-level design of an automated procedure that would be developed first by you and later by Finance IT
- Implement the desired automated procedure with the inputs of FIP staff and deliver a working tool that the staff can use in waiting for the Finance IT solution (any solution can be used, including Power Query, Power BI, Knime, Alteryx, Python, Blue Prism, etc.)
- Document the business rules agreed and implemented in the prototype and communicate them to Finance IT

You will join the Operational Permanent Controller – France (OPC France) team who is in charge of supporting production teams in executing and formalizing first line of defense controls, especially the riskiest parts of processes, to certify and secure Data & Accounting operating tasks.
YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE OPC TEAM
As OPC – France, you will have several missions whose main objective is to guarantee that the set of controls deployed by Data & Accounting teams are compliant and in line with expectations of Finance Control teams (second line of defense). A good relationship with all stakeholders is key and necessary to avoid, anticipate and/or explain potential operational risks.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure that the French and IFRS France controls are produced and delivered in due time to Cardif Management and to Finance Control teams as well as in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards:
- Prepare and produce the quarterly synthesis of controls performed by Data & Accounting teams in France;
- Guarantee the strict respect of the reporting deadlines.
- Carry out analysis´ reviews to better understand and closely monitor the control process put in place in France.
- Assist and provide training sessions for the stakeholders involved;
- Adapt the set of controls following norms, guidelines or process/business evolutions.
- Ensure the go between with production and Finance Control teams.
- Guarantee a continuous reporting and communication on your tasks and activities to your manager and team.
AS OUR NEW OPERATIONAL PERMANENT CONTROLLER YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor´s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance or any other related field
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounting, Risk, Internal Control, Audit or Compliance, preferably in the Insurance sector;
- Understanding of internal control frameworks, audit techniques and operational compliance applicable to your scope
- Fluency in French and English (B2 level minimum).
