The mission of RISK Market & Financial Institutions (“RISK MFI”) is to provide the Senior Management of the Group, of the RISK Function and of Global Markets (“GM”) and of Securities and Services with full transparency and dynamic analysis and monitoring of market, counterparty, valuation and liquidity risks originated and managed by CIB and of credit risks on Financial Institutions in order to assist them in their risk decision making and monitoring.
As part of RISK Markets & Financial Institutions, the Management and Supervisory Information team sits at the heart of a network of technical and subject matter experts in the fields of market/counterparty risk to turn data into management information. For the MSI analyst the challenge is therefore to be able to engage with market and counterparty risks analyst on complex financial aspects and to then distribute the resulting information into a format that will be presented directly to the CIB senior management, the Group CRO or even the ECB to name a few consumers of MSI’s product.
The Management & Supervisory Information Counterparty Risk Team (MSI CCR) is responsible to provide a consolidated, global, and independent analysis of key counterparty risks. The team closely interacts with other risk managers on financial institutions and corporates, with credit analysts and with trading desks representatives.
The role is ideal for collaborative individuals with data analysis skills, financial risk interest and attention to detail. It gives the opportunity to gain a holistic and transversal view of counterparty risk originated from different activities while engaging with multiple teams inside and outside RISK.
Your Main Activities Are
- Reliably producing the supporting material discussed during the main risk committees related to Counterparty Risk. Such committees can be internal as well as with external stakeholders as supervisors or rating agencies
- Analysing the evolution of the risk metrics included in the reports (e.g. stress tests, sensitivities, market value, current exposure, potential future exposure, margin, etc..) and raising data quality issues to the relevant teams
- Producing regular standardised supervisory reports in an accurate and timely manner while analysing the data and performing controls in coordination with other senior team members
- Assisting with the production and reliability of supporting material discussed during the main risk committees as well as meetings with regulators and rating agencies within the MI CCR scope.
- Improving the tool kit of the team used for explaining and conveying risk insights.
Profile and Skills to Success
- PostGraduate degree in Economics, Science or Finance.
- Up to 4 years of experience in Risk and Controls / Data Analytics or similar
- MS Office Pack Microsoft Excel (Proficient)

- The Quantitative Data Intelligence (QDI) team is responsible for providing data, insights, and analysis to Global Markets front office.

About the job
The Continuous Improvement Project Manager role is similar to an internal consultant role, and it provides an excellent foundation of knowledge to take on other key roles in our organisation in the future. The Continuous Improvement Coach/Trainer role is similar to an internal consultant role, and it provides an excellent foundation of knowledge to take on other key roles in our organisation in the future. The role is based in Lisbon, but some overseas travel may be required at times according to business needs.
Your Main Activities Are
As part of the team, the Continuous Improvement Coach/Trainer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- The Cash Account Manager is the privileged interlocutor of clients to follow-up their cash accounts. This follow-up is taking into consideration client needs to optimise their treasury and ensuring the correct processing of their cash transactions
- To be part of a team working towards a common goal, following procedures and work organization, Cash Account managers will have to deal with several departments and interact with different activities, providing the possibility to expand the knowledge of all team members
Your Main Activities Are
- Process client instructions by analysing, validating and implementing those instructions.
- Check and monitor failed instructions and provide the correct update to clients, including follow-up on client’s instructions blocked by teams working in Credit Risk
- Identify and advise on any exceptional or irregular situations, and put in place corrective measures in line with management validation
- Manage email inboxes, phone calls and follow-up of requests from clients or internal teams
- Extract the relevant information from systems and perform proper reconciliation of all details, while verifying documentation received and forwarding to relevant processing team (when applicable)
- Follow-up on set-ups and fill in the corresponding files/systems with relevant data.
- Management and monitoring of client or counterparty claims via internal workflow tools (value date adjustment, return of funds, etc.)
