BE PART OF OUR FINANCIAL ASSETS ACCOUNTING TEAM

Within our Financial assets accounting team, you will contribute directly to the day-to-day management of various tasks: analysis and project monitoring missions related to the financial assets held by our insurance companies.

Reporting directly to the Head of the Financial Assets Division, you will be part of a dynamic and committed team.

YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE FAR DATA TEAM

By working in a central department within the accounting team, you will be at the forefront of participating in the transformation of the Finance Department and BNP Paribas Cardif.

Your key responsibilities will be:

ACCOUNTING PRODUCTION:

  • Participate in the closing process with regular checkpoints on specific topics related to financial assets (valuation, control of the calculation: accrued coupons, depreciation, provisioning), assist the business teams on the constitution of internal, group, and regulatory reports;
  • Follow up on requests from the auditors at each quarterly meeting;
  • Deepen certain technical points on the scope of financial assets and regulatory developments, prepare studies on the integration of new financial instruments and their accounting treatments, contribute to their implementation and participate in them.

CONTROL AND REVIEW FILES:

  • Contribute, within its scope, to relations with the statutory auditors by preparing review files on unlisted instruments (private markets and real estate);
  • Participate in the control of the work carried out by external service providers essential to the activity and to whom the company delegates essential activities;
  • As part of the controls and testing of financial instruments required by the Group’s internal control, prepare quarterly review files.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PROJECTS:

  • Participate in the various corporate project preparation and restitution of workshops on the scope of intervention concerned.

AS OUR NEW ACCOUNTING ANALYST – FINANCIAL ASSETS, YOU MUST HAVE:

    • An experience of minimum 3 years in a similar position
    • A prior experience in banking, insurance or a consulting firm (in asset management or securities services) may be an asset for the position
    • You have a good knowledge in accounting and financial management of market instruments
    • You are rigorous, proactive on your work/projects and able to adapt to a rapidly changing and transforming environment
    • Your ability to integrate large volumes of information, to process it, to simplify it and to synthesize it will be key assets to carry out your missions
    • Fluent in English (C1 or C2 level) – mandatory
    • A second language in particular French (B1-B2 level) would be a plus

In practice, your day-to-day

 

As a Senior Data Engineer/Python Developer you will use Python to work on our ML tools which answer needs at a local and corporate level (Paris):

  • The Counterparty Risk Senior Analyst is in charge of monitoring, analysis and reporting of market and counterparty metrics related to risks held in the trading portfolios of the bank
  • Additionally, is responsible for ensuring the data quality of the metrics produced to monitor such risks and to participate to the continuous improvements of the monitoring, analysis and reporting framework of such metrics

Your Main Activities Are

  • Assisting with the production and reliability of supporting material discussed during the main positions meetings and main risk committees related to Counterparty Risk. Such committees can be internal as well as with external stakeholders as supervisors or rating agencies
  • Analysing the evolution of the risk metrics included in the reports (e.g. stress tests, sensitivities, market value, current exposure, potential future exposure, margin) and raising data quality issues to the relevant teams
  • Producing regular Supervisory reports in an accurate and timely manner while analysing the data and performing controls in coordination with other senior team members

About the job

  • The role of Senior Market Risk FRTB Analyst is primarily to ensure the coordination, reliability and compliance of regulatory and internal capital production for market, counterparty and settlement risks for the BNPP Group, as well as additional thematically-linked deliverables relating to Resources Management. The team are ultimately responsible for the official calculation, associated analysis / explanation and reporting of Market, Counterparty and Settlement Risk RWA, and additionally for updates of forecasts and simulations delivery, alongside related regulatory demands (such as QIS)
  • RISK MFI MI – Capital and Resources is responsible for ensuring that existing (Basel III) and future (Basel IV, Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB)) capital-related methodologies and procedures are implemented consistently at Group level and guide consistent implementation at Legal Entity levels, across locations and business lines

Your Main Activities Are

  • The senior market risk Capital analyst is primarily in charge of the FRTB transition to BAU as well as the supervision of (and contribution to) the production and reliability of the Capital figures for market risk under the current framework. The scope under management is large, mostly covering the whole BNPP  Group for both standard (FRTB SA) and advanced approaches
  • With a close collaboration with their team, the senior analyst contributes to the development and implementation of a proper analysis framework allowing to understand the dynamic of the elementary FRTB metrics (Internal Model Approach / Standard Approach) and allowing the team to report and explain those metrics to Businesses, Group Finance and senior management
    1. Quantitative Impact Study (QIS) and pre-Production: Manage/coordinate the contribution to the QIS exercises and the pre-production taskforce to deliver accurate and timely Capital figures under FRTB framework. Contribute to the setup of the production process and associated needed controls. Prepare and maintain supporting procedures and methodologies
    2. New Analysis framework: Contribute to the setup of dedicated dashboards and reports to to deliver the information to management, businesses and Finance. Contribute to the operational insertion of the new analysis framework with contributions from RISK MFI and Sigma teams to allow adequate monitoring and capacity to understand the dynamic of the FRTB metrics
    3. Production: Supervise the official market risk capital production to ensure accuracy of the figures as well as the the analysis of the VaR, SVaR and IRC dynamic
    4. Lead the contribution to the bi-monthly Financial Market Risk Committee (FMRC). Contribute to the production of other relevant / on demand reports to the Board and to Group, Businesses and RISK Management, as well as requests from ratings agencies, regulators and auditors
    5. Contribute to the regulatory reporting of Capital figures, with a dedicated focus on FRTB framework
    6. Contribute to the setup and operational insertion of the FRTB analysis framework. Act as a point of contact with Businesses and FINANCE teams with regards to market risk Capital topics

  • The Procure to Pay (P2P) Process and project analyst is in charge of functional designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the standard sourcing to pay solutions platform and related processes, until accounting feeding. The analyst intervenes on several SAP platforms and modules to contribute to convergence to a unique Core model

Your Main Activities Are

  • Ensure functional analysis of different modules of the application in line with the sourcing to pay Core Model
  • Capture business requirements and propose the most adequate functional solution within SAP standards and respective Core Model; liaise with IT in case of adaptation and document request; Define, develop and execute client dashboard data, and operational KPI reporting data

About the job

  • The role involves providing functional and operational support to Front-Office users, training them on various systems, and facilitating communication and exchange with other departments (IT, Operations, Finance, among others). You will be responsible for incident follow-up and resolution, close collaboration with IT team will be essential to resolve technical issues. You will participate in Continuous Efficiency Improvement projects and ensure new tools and new functionalities implementation by preparing, coordinating, performing UAT and supporting user with training
  • In addition, you will coordinate client mailing, manage the client template and manage client data in Front-Office Tools
  • Synthesize of the activity and set up regular monitoring sessions with the management in Portugal and Switzerland are expected

Your Main Activities Are

  • Guarantee 1st Level support to the Front Office
    1. Advice regarding IT tools functionality or process
    2. Analysis of the issues/request
    3. Analyse, report, prioritize and track software errors
    4. Monitor and follow-up of requests/incidents
    5. Data management: Cost Price update in Front-Office System, Historical research of cost prices for customized reporting (fiscal topics)
  • Front-office representation on diverse projects and acting as UAT Officer
    1. Collect and analysis of business needs
    2. Project Follow-up
    3. Contribution to tests and releases of software applications
    4. In charge of coordinating for UAT with IT Support and Project Managers
      • Define Test Planning & Develop test cases
      • Check availability of other testers
      • Realize test on behalf of front-office users for Wealth Management (WM) applications and Ebanking
      • UAT Follow-up (raise issue and provide progress report)
    5. Support the deployment of new application versions of Front-Office Staff & Provide documentation and Training material
  • Coordination for bank mailing delivery
    1. On average, every year a few dozen of letters sent to our clients
      • Content from distinct nature (New pricing, Regulatory policies, Commercial, general conditions, among others)
    2. Mailing content and wording format
      • Coordinate with translation companies / site key contacts
      • Validate templates format
      • Validate production formats before invoice
      • Search to obtain Validation from the sponsor before sending
    3. Checking exhaustivity and collect approval
      • Control that the perimeter defined is consistent with the target one
      • Validate with sponsor before sending and communicate with Front-office
  • Template management used by the Bank for WM
    1. Documentation / Legal contracts for clients update : Logo / Specific or standard formats / Codification to be read by IT tools (scanning via DMS)
    2. Ensure Audit track by archiving documentation : template referential
      • Prepare and Publish documentation internally and in Docusign for electronic signature
  • Training
    1. Provide support and training
    2. Ensure onboarding for new comers (processes and systems) and ongoing training
    3. Coordinate new tools deployment
    4. Ensure regular training for all management

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor degree in Economy, Finance, Business Administration and Accounting
  • Previous experience in customer service, business support or middle office jobs

  • The Procure to Pay (P2P) Supporting Solutions Officer position is in charge of the 1st level of support on the platforms and processes related to the Procure to Pay Solutions bearing the Procurement & Performance processes

Your Main Activities Are

  • Provide first-line support on SAP, Ivalua, Readsoft, Concur, BI and internal tools to businesses and entities using the tools in the Group
