About the job
- The Team Leader will manage an operations team in Lisbon, with potential to extend scope of responsibilities
- The team is responsible for executing the following activities
- Ensure correct booking of invoices (General Ledger Account, VAT rate, Cost Centre)
- Identify, complete and request missing information
- Analyze and communicate discrepancy between purchase orders and invoices
- Issue outgoing invoices
- Perform controls in line with corporate procedures and control plan
Your Main Activities Are
- Define the capacity planning of the team
- Follow-up the team’s planning and workload plan
- Manage and assist the team members on their day-to-day activity
- Contribute to the resolution of blocking points
- Monitor the Risks
- Ensure good communication with Business Lines and Finance teams
- Perform the relevant reporting to the Management (KPIs and Dashboards, key messages, improvement axis, among others)
- Lead continuous improvement activities such as monitor the team’s performance (outgoing invoices, treatment length, data quality, stock and flow within the workflow, among others) and implement processes to ensure the efficiency of the team’s daily activities
- Ensure correct booking of invoices (General Ledger Account, VAT rate, Cost Centre)
- Identify, complete and request missing information
- Analyze and communicate discrepancy between purchase orders and invoices
- Issue outgoing invoices
- Perform controls in line with corporate procedures and control plan
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or other related fields
- At least 2 years of Experience in a similar role with team management
- At least 2 years of Experience as Accounting Officer
- Knowledge of VAT
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack and ERP system application (SAP/Oracle)
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with flexible schedules and with international locations
- Organizational skills and good attention to detail
- Ability to synthetize and to give feedbacks to peers
- Strong team spirit
- Good communication skills (spoken & written), proactive attitude and problem solving
