About the job
- The Mission of the Senior Project Management Officer is to supervise or Lead Project Portfolio Management Office tasks, support management and project managers in consolidating, reporting and controlling key project portfolio information. The Senior PMO fulfils a variety of functions on a day-to-day basis, including the gathering data about project progress and producing reports, developing PM standards and processes and encouraging (or enforcing where necessary) the use of those standards and processes
Your Main Activities Are
- Drive the designing, implementation and operationalisation of the appropriate framework to manage a portfolio of projects or programs
- Setup project tracking, control and reporting frameworks, with the purpose of monitoring the management of risks, issues, dependencies, actions, tracking budget, change control and regular reporting
- Provide materials, input and facilitate governance, dealing with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation from project team members to senior sponsors or internal communication teams
- Provide project support to complex projects or programs, including aspects such as set up of the project governance, project launch, RAID management, ensuring that the methodology is suitable and followed appropriately for the project, preparation of SteerCo materials and minutes, management of project gate approvals and closure
- Organise and facilitate capacity planning across a portfolio of projects; provide support where needed and communicate resource allocation challenges
- Act as key contributor on deliverables on projects, including contributing, whenever required, to the origination, framing and execution of projects & programs within the portfolio
- Propose improvements and adapt standard project methodology to the businerss needs (including all templates, support tools, when applicable)
- Design, implement, manage and continuously improve the framework and tools to collect, centralise and report on projects & programs to key internal or external stakeholders
- Coach other entry-level team members on PM methodologies, tools and projects governance
- Organise learning events on PM standards, represent the PMO in community meetings and high-level stakeholder events
Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s in Business Management
- From 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in Project Management and Consulting
- Fluent (C1-C2) level of English
- Critical thinking
- Organisational skills
- Attention to detail / rigor
- Analytical ability
- Ability to develop and leverage networks
- Ability to set up relevant performance indicators
- Skills in Office pack (namely in Excel and PowerPoint)
