Regional Operational Risk Officer – 2024 (M/F) Miraflores

Your day-to-day

As Regional Operational Risk Officer, you will support 3 Regional Operational Risk managers on their respective geographical organization:

• LATAM/Morocco/Portugal,
• Benelux & Nordics,
• Asia

Your main responsibilities:

You will support the Regional Operational Risk Managers in:

• Ensuring that the Operational Risks & Permanent Control framework is deployed and maintained by local entities,
•  on the collection of operational risk incidents, root cause analysis and definition of corrective and preventive actions
•  within Arval entities in scope including the operational risk strategy and mitigation framework defined by the 1st line of defense

More concretely, the following activities will be under your responsibility:

• Perform check & challenge on following reports from local entities:
• Provide critical analysis and review of RCSA produced by the 1st line of defense 
• Challenge country OPC on the collection of operational risk incidents, root cause analysis and definition of corrective and preventive actions
• Action plans created (generated by controls, incidents or RCSA)
• Outsourcing Management – verification of arrangements
• Accounting cross-check
•  on the systemic controls performed by entities
•  (incident, control execution, RCSA status)
•  by contributing to the preparation of the entity Internal Control Committees
•  by analyzing DLP alerts
•  case of a non-existent or inefficient permanent control framework or anomalies or incidents identified as part of the measurement and management of operational risks
•  and provide them with actions intended to mitigate the risks or to improve the framework

Reporting Line: You will hierarchically report to the RISK ORM of LATAM/Morocco/Portugal with a functional link to RISK ORM Asia and Benelux & Nordics

• Academical Background in Economics, Finance or Accounting
• Previous experience in Banking and Financial Operations or Risk Controls
• Full Service Leasing Knowledge is welcomed

PROFILE:

• You will discover the Long-Term Leasing business line and the Automotive market.
• It makes it possible to develop along several axes:
• Experience in a control function with acquisition of risk analysis and measurement methodologies, BNPP standards
• Expertise on risk management
• Relational dimension and ability to convince and argue.
• This experience will confirm your potential for any type of career, whether international or domestic, in the areas of finance or operational risk, data management at Arval as in other BNPP Group entities
