  • RISK is an integrated and independent function and is part of BNP Paribas control functions. It is the independent second line of defense on the risk management activities of the Group, which are under its direct responsibilities, including credit and counterparty risk, market risk, funding and liquidity risk, interest rate and foreign exchange risks in the banking book, insurance risk, operational risk and environmental and social risks
  • RISK aims at being a partner of the businesses by contributing to their sustainable development, but also a gatekeeper to ensure risks taken remain compatible with the Group’s Risk Appetite and its strategy 
  • RISK Wealth Management Global Asian and International Markets (RISK WM GAIM) is the team within RISK in charge of Wealth Management Global Asian and International Markets (WM GAIM). This scope is made of all the entities within the WM business line out of Domestic Markets (DM) and Europe Mediterranean (EM), i.e.: Hong-Kong, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Singapore, India (ISPL), Taiwan, Monaco, Germany, Portugal, Spain, DIFC
  • As part of its GTS@WM strategic plan, WM Métier intends to increase its footprint on the Entrepreneurs and Families clients segment by improving its level of services across International Markets and Domestic Markets locations thanks to various Business Platforms and leveraging on the BNPP Group’s integrated Bank Model
  • Thus, WM clients are spread throughout the Bank and handled by different locations within IPS WM GAIM and CPBS entities. Therefore, credit risk management within WM activities, which is one of the core focus of the Bank
  • A Community Office has been installed staffed by both RISK CPBS and RISK WM GAIM on equal effort to maintain and ensure a good pace and efficient animation, as well as a close coordination of the WM RISK Community
  • More globally, over all WM entities, the Métier proposes a various scale of products and services including a Credit Offer. To sustain business development when answering regulatory needs, Credit activity is subject to strong risk monitoring principles in force for many years. The regulatory landscape is permanently moving and so are new requirements issued by the European regulators (ECB, EBA)
  • In order to offer an efficient support to the Métier and to make sure the identified Risk topics are properly analyzed and implemented transversally, RISK WM GAIM contributes to all the initiatives and projects managed by WM
  • To do so, the Risk Analyst/Coordinator takes part of these projects as key contributor
  • Finally, the Operational Risk Analyst/Coordinator plays the three following roles
    • Active member of the WM RISK Community Office
    • Steering of key WM Business and Regulatory/Group projects impacting WM
    • Transversal missions
  • More globally, the Risk Analyst/Coordinator contributes to the whole action plans of RISK WM GAIM teams such as ad hoc studies/analysis, reporting or global animation of RISK WM GAIM network
  • The Risk Analyst/Coordinator reports hierarchically to the Head of RISK WM Lisbon Hub and functionally to the Head of RISK WM Transformation and Projects
  • The Risk Analyst/Coordinator interacts with all the HO teammates according within a Dual Office configuration, meaning that he/she is fully inserted to the business as usual of the Head Office teams
  • Within this configuration, the Risk Analyst/Coordinator will also liaise with both all the WM Stakeholders (CREDIT, OFFERING, FINANCE, IT) and all the other RISK streams partners (CPBS scope, CIB scope when relevant)

Your Main Activities Are

  • Support to the WM RISK Community Leader in
    • The initiatives follow up and Initiative leaders’ feedbacks management (agenda, monitoring reporting, among others)
    • The organization of the Global Community Forum
    • Prepare the quarterly meeting with sponsors and provide minutes
    • Support to the Initiative Leaders (organization of the works, communication, reporting, among other)
  • Steering of cross-functional projects, Group directives and regulatory requirements
    • In collaboration with both central and local teams: regulatory oversight, operational translation of regulatory and internal directives into Group policies
    • Support to WM entities in the transposition of Group directives: standardization, traceability and dissemination of information to Business Lines and other impacted Functions (change management)
    • Contribute to Business Line projects and ensure, as appropriate, the representation of RISK WM in particular for (i) the Métier’s initiatives CRYSTAL (CREDIT), CORE BANKING (TEMENOS) and FX GAIM Framework; and (ii) for regulatory/group’s projects B-READY (new Basel framework), RegDATA, ESG, BMRC Exit, CRR II/LE, CRR II/SA CCR, Filière Unique
    • Depending on the subject/project, ensure their proper operational integration, in particular by producing user guides or related procedures
  • Transversal and BaU activities
    • The Risk Analyst/Coordinators takes part to the global mission statements of RISK WM GAIM:
      • Monitor and maintain as required the Risk/Finance Blueprint
      • Contribute to ad-hoc RISK reporting exercises and to requests, where applicable, from external auditors and/or Management
      • Participate in data quality initiatives, particularly in connection with the WM CDO Office
      • Ensure a leading role vis-à-vis international entities on regulatory issues and WM and/or Group projects

Profile and Skills to Success

  •  Bachelor Degree in Business and/or Finance                                  
  • Between 4 and 7 years of experience in Business, Finance and/or Analytical 
  •  Advanced level of English and French 
  • Knowledge in Law and Regulation
  • Knowledge in Office pack 
  • Ability to collaborate / Teamwork
  • Communication skills, both written and oral
  • Organisational Skills
  • Attention to detail / rigor
  • Proactivity
